Sunil is hand made crewel from India. 100% wool dyed into several colors, then hand embroidered over good weight 100% cotton duck.

Creeping vines and fanciful fauna is a forever loved subject for crewel.

“Bay” is a soothing blue with a tint of lavender undertone. A translucent and serene color that reminds one of aquatic bay in the north.

Embroidery is in white and grey wool. Very calming. This type of hand embroidery, originated in India, in the 17th century was brought back to Europe by the British and became instantly popular in both Europe and America.
