Allegra Lampas is based on antique French textile produced for the Kings and Queens. Old World Weavers made several version throughout the decades. “Allegra Lampas II” has 3% Metal 88% Silk 9% Cotton. All natural fibers thus truer to historical period.  The metal threads add so much production cost but also such incredible sparkle to this lampas.

At over 1lb/yard, it weighs almost like a tapestry. Lively and rich flower garland, among exuberant foliage, float over an subtle but intricate damask background.

Flowers are in pink, light french blue, mustard gold. Background is called “candlelight”, a soft and slightly warm white. Imagine this lampas under true candlelight or soft ambient lamp at night?! The jacquard flowers, the iridescence of silk,  and at last, the glittering metal threads…

For your curiosity, “Allegra Lampas” , the previous version, was 47% silk, 21% cotton, 16% viscose, 16% metal.
