Lucia, a classic Gaufre damask, is woven by one of the best Italian mills. Gaufre damask is a type of damask fabric characterized by its subtle, raised, or textured background, often described as resembling a waffle or having a waffle-like pattern. It’s a specific variation of damask, a woven fabric known for its reversible patterns and use of both warp and weft threads. 

The term “gaufre” is French for waffle, which is used to describe the texture of this specific damask variation.  The “gold”on this 100% silk is like real 24k gold which is one of Nature’s most beautiful colors.
